SKIP is a Bay Overo Paint, (Black, Dark Brown, and White). He stands 15.3 hands tall, and weighs approximately 1300 pounds. He has a great conformation. He has a well-balanced, heavily muscled body, with a small, refined head and big expressive brown eyes. He has points in Halter and two grand championships. He is truly quite awesome to see – but that is just the beginning. SKIP is kind, calm, gentle, super smart, and willing. He is broke to ride and pull a cart. He loves attention, treats, people, and of course, mares!!

He is siring 70% color on all mares. He passes on his gorgeous refined head, color, size, and sound mind to his babies. His babies include the famous STORM WALKER- already a California favorite with 130+ points in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Western Riding; and SKIPAROU SUNDAY, a 3 - time Buckle winner at Golden Grand.

SKIP is Texas born and bred. His sire is SKIPA STAR JR. with over 300 halter points, 43 grand championships, and Superiors and/or ROMs in everything from western pleasure to hunter jumper. SKIPA STAR JR is from the SKIPPER W line that is world famous for their gentle, calm, and willing attitudes. SKIP's dam is BARBAROULA, a running quarter horse from the $100,000+ race winner BAR ROULA. This side of the family includes THREE BARS who is in the AQHA Hall of Fame.

It is a veterinarian-owned and operated facility. The owner, Dr. Bob Hunter, D.V.M., specializes in Equine Reproduction and has excellent success rates. You will be very pleased with the professionalism and cleanliness of the facility. Your mare will receive the very best care possible. Box Stalls, pipe pens, and small pastures are all available, depending on your mare’s needs. Turnouts on green pasture are included.

Most breeding is performed A.I., to protect the mare and stallion. If live cover is requested, a clean negative culture of your mare is required. SKIP is a gentle breeder, so your mare will be safe, without marks. Cooled shipped semen and frozen semen are available. Foaling services are also available.

SKIP’s Year 2006 Stud Fee is $1000, LFG. If a non-colored foal is produced (as defined by APHA), you may breed back to SKIP the following year at the reduced rate of $400. The stud fee does not include your mare’s board, veterinarian care or farrier fees. A deposit of $250 booking fee (included in the stud fee) is required upon delivery of your mare to the Stallion Station. The remainder of the fee is due when you pick up your mare. All major credit cards are accepted.
